Grab a basket… a shallow one works best.
Fill with washed and dried kale or cabbage leaves around the edges.
Then I added add waxed paper to protect the bottom of the basket from spills or moisture…. insert a dinner plate or platter… whatever will fit to hold the vegetables.
Add your favorite chopped and sliced veggies,
Here’s what I used:
Carrots
Zucchini
Cherry tomatoes
Peppers
Cucumbers
Radishes
Celery
Add your favorite dip… and you’re ready for a great meal!!
Herbed Ranch Dipping Sauce
½ cup buttermilk
½ cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise (Substitute plain Greek yogurt if desired)
Mix well and add:
1 fresh garlic clove minced
½ teaspoon dried basil
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon dried dill
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
(Can substitute the above spices for your favorite dried Italian Herb blend- add about 2 teaspoons plus salt and pepper to taste if substituting)
Let mixture chill for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. The longer the dipping sauce sits, the better it tastes.
